REGULATIONS FOR EVL YOUTH CUP
I. Objective and Tasks
1. These regulations determine the procedures, how the volleyball tournament “EVL youth cup” will proceed.
2. The aim of the competition is to popularize volleyball.
3. Competition’s purpose is to give experience to girls’ volleyball teams.
4. EVL Youth Cup is organized by the nonprofit organization “EVL nodibinājums”.
II. Place, time and participation fee
5. Place of competitions: Riga volleyball center, Ganību Dambis 20A, Riga.

7. Competition regulation and information about the cup are published on website www.evl.lv.
III. Regulations
8. Competition is carried out in following age groups of youth:
8.1. U-12 boys and girls
8.1.1. Games are played 3 vs 3;
8.1.2. Size of the field: 12 x 6 m;
8.1.3. Each team should have at least 3 players, but not more than 5;
8.1.4. There must be at least 3 players on the field. If it is less than 3, the team gets technical loss;
8.1.5. Two full substitutions (back and forth) are allowed during each set;
8.1.6. Each player serves no more than 4 serves in a row, after that the next player of the same team serves;
8.1.7. Players are rotating clockwise;
8.1.8. Hight of the net is 210 cm;
8.1.9. Players are allowed to spike and block.
8.2. U-13 boys and girls
8.2.1. Games are played 4 vs 4;
8.2.2. Size of the field: 16 x 8 m;
8.2.3. Each team should have at least 4 players, but not more than 6;
8.2.4. There must be at least 4 players on the field. If it is less than 4, the team gets technical loss;
8.2.5. Two full substitutions (back and forth) are allowed during each set;
8.2.6. Each player serves no more than 4 serves in a row, after that the next player of the same team serves;
8.2.7. Players are rotating clockwise;
8.2.8. Players are allowed to change zones, but the one who serves is not allowed to play at the net (attack, block, set), except playing in defense;
8.2.9. Hight of the net is 215 cm;
8.2.10. Players are allowed to spike and block.
8.3. U-14, U-15, U-16 Girls and Boys
8.3.1. Games are played 6 vs 6, with libero player;
8.3.2. The team starts the game with a full lineup of players;
8.3.3. in case an injury occurs during the game, the team is allowed to finish the game with an incomplete lineup;
8.3.4. If team has 7 players of which 1 is libero, the libero player can replace the injured player and finish the game instead of him/her;
8.3.5. Each team has a maximum of 10 players.
9. The competition will take place taking into account the current regulations of the Council of Ministers regarding covid restrictions during the competition.
10. The games are played in accordance of simplified FIVB official volleyball rules. Organizers define the playing system, based on teams applied for and draw sub-groups.
IV. Applications
11. The application for participation has to be submitted no later than 5 days before the corresponding competition, by e-mail to: janis@evl.lv.
12. In application need to be specified name of the team, team members name, surname, e-mail and phone number.
13. The participation fee has used to ensure running of competitions and shall be transferred to the bank account of „EVL nodibinājums” Foundation. EVL details: Latvian reg.no.: 40008226264; Bank: AS Swedbank Latvia; Bank account no.: LV24HABA0551038810449.
14. No participation fee is returned to the team when it exits the tournament.
15. An application approved by the team representative or head of the educational establishment must be submitted to the Competition Secretariat on the day of the competition.
16. The conformity of the state of health should be confirmed with signature of a team doctor or parents.
17. The organizer ensures the requirements of the Law Data Protection.
18. The cost of competition related to travel, accommodation, catering or other expenses of participants and the persons accompanying them, shall be paid by participant.
V. Rewards
19. Teams having taken places in the final stage are rewarded by the organizers with cups, medals and surprise awards from competition supporters.
20. The best players of final game teams are rewarded with special prizes.
